COINS USA Team Participates in COINS 3 Peaks Challenge

As a company, COINS is highly motivated to support community projects. We believe that we are privileged and with this comes a sense of duty and responsibility to care about those who are impoverished and less privileged. At COINS USA, we have been challenged by our counterparts in the UK to take part in the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge (www.coins3peakschallenge.com), which raises significant funds for community projects.

The COINS 3 Peaks Challenge is the classic mountain challenge designed exclusively for the Construction Industry. COINS USA will be competing alongside other construction teams to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales, all within a time limit of 24 hours! We need your help as we must raise $12,000 to compete; but all for a magnificent cause!

The challenge, now in its 6th year, has raised over $2.4 million, all of which has been donated to CARE International. Last year was a record year with over $900,000 raised. With your help we may be able to raise over $1 million! This year the distribution of funds is widening; the 2008 COINS 3 Peaks Challenge will support projects managed by the following organizations.

	Care International () fights poverty and injustice in 70 countries around the world. CARE believes passionately in the dignity of all people and makes a long term commitment to tackle the deep-seated root causes of poverty. Our specific focus with CARE is a project that builds community schools for orphaned and vulnerable children in Zambia. Funds from the 2007 COINS 3 Peaks event went to the construction and support of six new schools.
	Habitat for Humanity tackles poverty housing on a global scale. Habitat for Humanity works in 100 countries and has built 230,000 houses in partnership with over 1 million people in need of simple, decent housing. COINS USA has already been involved in a 24-hour build project with Habitat for Humanity.
	Stepping On is an organization recently established to improve outcomes for vulnerable, disadvantaged, and/or disabled children worldwide. Funds will support projects that make effective use of innovative technology for collaborative learning, web-based counseling, and job matching for this special group of children.

The funds will be distributed via the newly formed COINS Foundation to specific projects managed by CARE International, Habitat for Humanity, and Stepping On. The aim of the newly established COINS Foundation is to approve grants that will fund projects offering relief to vulnerable and disadvantaged people and communities both in the UK and internationally. The foundation will also focus on the relief of suffering among victims of natural disasters.

We hope that we can count on you for a generous donation of $250 or more to the COINS Foundation. However, please note that any donation amount is welcome and greatly appreciated. As a bonus, COINS USA will be raffling off 8 hours of free consulting time to anyone that contributes $500 or more.
